Prime Ministers Laptop Scheme 2025

The Prime Minister Laptop Scheme is an ongoing initiative. This scheme was introduced by Government of Pakistan to provide the laptops to the students in Higher Education system. This Prime Minister Laptop scheme 2025 was launched. By providing laptops, the government intends to bridge the digital divide and ensure that students from all economic backgrounds have equal access to educational resources and opportunities.

The Government of Pakistan introduces this scheme for those talented candidates who scores highest marks in their annuals. The pm laptop scheme 2025 is also for those students who cannot afford the laptop. In this scheme, only eligible candidates who meet the criteria based in the merit can be selected. 

What kind of students eligible for the laptop scheme?

Depending on the specific program and current government laws, the requirements for participation in the laptop program may change. The following student groups, can be qualified for the laptop program:

Merit Based Eligibility

Students that perform well academically can be eligible for the laptop scheme.

Financial Need

Some laptop program is designed to help students from low-income households who would not have the resources to buy laptops on their own. Students who can prove they have financial need can be eligible for the laptop scheme.

Nationality or Residency

Only citizens of a certain country or region can be eligible for certain laptop scheme 2025. 

Good Conduct and Discipline

A student's behavior and disciplinary history can be taken into account by some laptop program when determining eligibility.

Registration Process of Prime Minister Laptop Scheme

For the pm laptop scheme registration, government typically uses official means, including as government websites, newspapers, and educational institutions, to announce the start of the registration period. Check out the following points before register yourself:

• For the pm laptop scheme registration, eligible students must go to the official website allocated for it and complete an online registration form. Normally, this form would ask for personal data, academic information, and other pertinent data about you. 
• Applicants will be required to upload scanned copies of supporting documents. These documents include a copy of their national ID card, enrollment confirmation from the institute, academic transcripts, and any other documents specified in the application guidelines, in addition to the online registration form.
• In order to make sure that the applicants meet the eligibility requirements and fulfilling it, the appropriate authorities often evaluate and verify the submitted documents.
• Once the verification is done by the official authorities, the eligible applicants are shortlisted. 

PM Laptop Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Those students who are studying in the institutes that are affiliated with HEC (Higher Education Commission) can apply for laptop scheme 2025. You can search the Universities from the pdf that is available on this page. 

• The applicant who is going to apply must have a valid CNIC/ B-Form number.
• Must be a valid student as of the closing date for application submission i.e., 30th June 2024

Ineligible Students

Students who do not consider for the eligibility criteria for pm laptop scheme are mentioned below. 

1. Students enrolled in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the private sector.
2. Students enrolled in any government postsecondary and degree-granting institutions and allied institutions.
3. Those students who already obtained a laptop through a Federal or any Provincial Government program will not be eligible.
4. Foreign nationals, with the exception of AJK students will not be considered.
5. If a student has not applied online or if the application has not been received through the online portal.
6. Students who will fail in giving the evidence of their academic record that will asked by them will not be considered in the pm laptop scheme 2024 eligibility criteria.
7. Any selected candidate who completed their degree program before receiving a laptop.

Important Note

It is important to note that the pm laptop scheme 2024 registration date has ended now. The last date to apply for the registration was 20th June 2024.

PM Laptop Scheme 2025 Merit List

The pm laptop scheme merit list 2025 is different for all the Universities. Laptop Scheme Distribution Criteria:

The laptop scheme criteria 2025 are mentioned below.

• The applicant’s application can only be select online. 
• The official authorities accept / reject the application based on the criteria. 
• The student's name, CNIC, department, degree level, last test percentage/CGPA, and other information will be checked by university focal persons via an online focal person account.
• Once the student records have been obtained from the Institute or directly from the student, any inconsistency in the student data will be updated or edited in accordance with the result.
• A predetermined quote based on eligibility and merit requirements will determine how many laptops each Institute will receive.
• After the expiration of the HEC verification deadline, an automatic process will be launched on the system to produce merit lists for each university.
• The institutes will then cross-check the preliminary merit list that HEC has shared with them and respond within 15 days after receiving it.
• Each Institute is required to post the final merit list along with a timeframe for distribution on their notice board, website, or social media page.
• Final Merit Lists will be made available online so that all students and the public can view each applicant’s merit list.
