Position 1: Wing Head - Liquidity Management (VP/SVP)

Location: Karachi
Reporting to: Divisional Head - Assets & Liabilities Management

Eligibility Criteria

Educational/Professional Qualification:

  • Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by HEC.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CA, ACMA, ACCA, CFA, etc.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Treasury department of a Bank, DFI, or NBFI, with at least 3 years at a managerial level.

  • Preferably experienced in Money Market, Assets & Liabilities Management, and/or Fixed Income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage liquidity portfolio within allocated limits.

  • Ensure compliance with CAR and SLR regulations, promptly addressing related queries.

  • Achieve overall nil/profitability targets within defined timeframes.

  • Assist in formulating banking book IRR and liquidity risk strategies, including product profiling.

  • Administer and manage activities of international branch treasuries with a focus on liquidity management.

  • Support the FTP mechanism and develop insights on asset and liability decisions.

  • Liaise with SBP on all liquidity management matters.

  • Conduct training for branches and Treasury & Capital Markets staff in Money Market, treasury products, and liquidity reporting.

  • Ensure smooth communication with Retail Banking Group and provide approvals for special deposit rates.

  • Execute and authorize transactions per dealer mandate and allocated dealer limits.


Position 2: Regional Executive - Credit (AVP/VP)

Location: Abbottabad and Swat
Reporting to: Chief Credit Officer - Credit Risk Management

Eligibility Criteria

Educational/Professional Qualification:

  • Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by HEC.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree and/or relevant certifications such as CFA.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of banking experience, including 3 years in Credit processing/approval.

  • Preferably knowledgeable in Commercial, SME, Consumer, CAD, Islamic, and Agri financing products.

  • Experience in large-scale/public sector banks is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Approve credit proposals within delegated powers and recommend higher-limit cases to the appropriate authorities.

  • Monitor borrower accounts to detect early warning signals and recommend remedial actions.

  • Oversee restructuring/rescheduling of credit cases as per SBP and bank recovery policies.

  • Supervise and monitor the region’s credit portfolio, ensuring timely submission of credit returns.

  • Follow up on litigation cases and liaise with Head Office to resolve credit-related matters.

  • Conduct site visits to assess business performance and provide insights for credit policy improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with Banking Laws, SBP Prudential Regulations, and internal policies.

  • Maintain and update MIS records and ensure proper documentation of daily credit operations.

  • Address internal and external audit observations and implement corrective measures.


Skills and Expertise Required (For Both Positions)

  • Superior knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations and credit administration.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment.

  • Proficiency in financial markets, liquidity management, and trading.

  • Advanced MS Office skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, adaptability, and negotiation skills.

  • Leadership and people management capabilities.

  • Effective communication and analytical skills.


Employment Type & Selection Process

  • Employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, which may be renewed at Management’s discretion.

  • Shortlisted candidates strictly meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for panel interviews.

  • Selected candidates will receive a compensation package and benefits as per the Bank's policy/rules.
