CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT ZIAUDDIN UNIVERSITY

Ziauddin University is seeking qualified professionals to fill the following leadership positions for its Karachi Campus. The required qualifications, experience, and competencies for each role are detailed below:


VICE-CHANCELLOR

  • A terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.

  • Extensive experience in academic leadership, preferably at a multi-disciplinary university.

  • A distinguished record of academic and professional achievements in university administration.

  • Strong administrative, management, and communication skills.

  • Proven track record of successful strategic planning and execution.

  • Visionary leadership and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on academic excellence and institutional growth.


REGISTRAR

  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a registrar or in a similar position in an educational institution.

  • Prior secretarial experience is beneficial.

  • Strong computer literacy and database management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience in policy-making and document management.


DEAN, FACULTY OF PHARMACY & PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

  • Ph.D. from an HEC-recognized institution in the relevant field.

  • Minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience in an HEC-recognized university or equivalent professional experience.

  • A minimum of 15 publications, with at least 5 in the last 5 years in HEC-recognized journals.

  • Strong leadership and academic management skills.

  • Expertise in curriculum development and faculty development.

  • Ability to foster a culture of academic excellence and research innovation.


PRINCIPAL, ZIAUDDIN MEDICAL COLLEGE

  • As per PMDC guidelines, must be a professor with FCPS/PhD or equivalent qualifications.

  • Proven leadership in managing academic and administrative functions of a medical college.

  • Experience with accreditation visits and quality assurance.

  • Strong knowledge of the medical field and higher education.

  • Demonstrated success in leading academic and administrative teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


PROFESSORS OF PHYSIOLOGY & BIOCHEMISTRY FOR BASIC HEALTH SCIENCES, ZIAUDDIN MEDICAL COLLEGE

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Physiology with basic qualifications in MBBS.

  • 15 years of teaching/research experience, with 15 journal publications in HEC-approved journals.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and academic administration.

  • Strong research and teaching capabilities in Biochemistry/Physiology.


DIRECTOR, STUDENT AFFAIRS

  • A Master’s degree.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in student affairs, including leadership roles.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Expertise in student engagement, counseling, and wellness.

  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


HEAD OF ALUMNI AND PLACEMENT OFFICE

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Social Sciences from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in alumni relations or career services within the education sector.

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
