AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT

VICE CHANCELLOR REQUIRED FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, FAISALABAD

The Government of the Punjab is seeking the services of outstanding professionals of international repute for appointment as Vice Chancellor at the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Ph.D. in Agriculture or a related academic discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

  2. Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years post-qualification experience in teaching, administrative, planning, and financial matters.

  3. Research Publications:

    • At least 5 quality research publications in HEC recognized journals.

  4. Leadership Role:

    • This position requires promoting academic excellence, transparent governance, and motivating the university faculty and administration to work together to achieve increasingly higher standards of teaching, learning, and research.

  5. Academic and Financial Management:

    • Rich experience in academic and financial management with a proven track record in initiating and managing change, strategic planning, overseeing implementation, and mobilizing resources for the university's research programs.
    • Capability in networking with national and international institutions.

  6. Integration Skills:

    • Ability to integrate the results of agricultural research into education and to disseminate the benefits to farmers through a modern system of dissemination and extension.

  7. Age Limit:

    • The candidate must not be more than 65 years of age on the last date for submission of applications for the post of Vice Chancellor.

  8. Term of Appointment:

    • The term of appointment is four years and will be regulated under the provisions of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Act, 1973.

    • Two copies of the curriculum vitae (two in hard form and one in soft form not exceeding 20 MB to be sent to section.re@gmail.com).
    • Educational certificates, degrees, diplomas, and testimonials.
    • Details of Research Grants and Awards as Principal Investigator (excluding those given by the parent University).
    • International Awards/Honors, Best HEC Teacher Award, and National Awards (Civil/President).
    • Three recent passport-size photographs.
    • List of Research Publications (national and international) recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
    • A separate list of Research Publications published in impact factor journals of international repute with the impact factor mentioned for each publication.
    • A vision statement for the University (not more than one page).

SUBMISSION DEADLINE

  • Hard copy of the application, complete in all respects, should reach the address given below no later than 30.09.2024.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the Search Committee.
  • No Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance will be provided.
