Vice Chancellor Required

The Government of the Punjab seeks to appoint an outstanding professional of international repute as the Vice Chancellor of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Ph.D. in Agriculture or a related academic discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification.

  2. Experience:

    • Minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience in teaching, administration, planning, and financial matters.

  3. Research:

    • A minimum of 5 quality research publications in HEC-recognized journals.

  4. Leadership:

    • The position requires leadership skills, promoting academic excellence, transparent governance, and the ability to motivate university faculty and administration towards achieving higher standards of teaching, learning, and research.

  5. Management Skills:

    • Extensive experience in academic and financial management, with a proven track record in initiating and managing change, strategic planning, overseeing implementation, and mobilizing resources for the university and its research programs.
    • Capability in networking with national and international institutions.

  6. Additional Skills:

    • Ability to integrate agricultural research results into education and extend the benefits to farmers through modern dissemination and extension systems.

  7. Interview Criteria:

    • Candidates scoring 70% or above in the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview.

  8. Age Limit:

    • Applicants must not be more than 65 years of age as of the last date for application submission.

  9. Appointment Term:

    • The Chancellor will appoint the Vice Chancellor for a term of four (04) years, serving at the pleasure of the Chancellor.

  1. Salary and Benefits:

    • Other terms regarding tenure, salary package, transport, medical facilities, and allowances will be as per the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan Act, 2013, and the current policy of the Government of the Punjab.

  2. Application Process:

    • Eligible candidates should apply using the 'Application Form,' downloadable from www.agripunjab.gov.pk.
    • Submit two copies of the curriculum vitae, educational certificates, degrees, diplomas, testimonials, research grants (as Principal Investigator), awards, three recent passport-size photographs, and a list of research publications recognized by HEC, along with a one-page vision statement for the university.
    • Completed applications must be submitted in hard copy to the address below by 15.08.2024.
