SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals for the following positions at the Centre of Excellence in Solid State Physics, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Appointments will be purely on a contract/visiting/adjunct (per hour) basis for one year, extendable up to a maximum of three years based on performance. The Centre will follow HEC eligibility criteria for the appointment of Visiting/Adjunct faculty.

Available Positions

1. Adjunct Associate Professor

Field: Solid State Physics
Minimum Qualification: PhD degree in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university or an equivalent qualification from a foreign university.
Experience:

• 10 years of teaching/postgraduate professional experience in a recognized university or a national/international organization.

• 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a postgraduate professional role in the relevant field within a national or international organization.
  Publications: Minimum of 10 research publications with at least 4 in HEC-recognized journals.

2. Visiting/Adjunct Professor

Field: Physical Chemistry
Minimum Qualification: PhD degree in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university. Equivalence is required in the case of a foreign university degree.
Experience:

• 10 years of teaching/postgraduate professional experience in an HEC-recognized university or a national/international organization.

• 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a postgraduate professional role in the relevant field within a national or international organization.
  Publications: Minimum of 10 research publications with at least 5 in HEC-recognized journals.

3. Visiting/Adjunct Professor

Field: Solid State Physics
Minimum Qualification: PhD degree in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university. Equivalence is required in the case of a foreign university degree.
Experience:

• 10 years of teaching/postgraduate professional experience in an HEC-recognized university or a national/international organization.

• 5 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience in a recognized university or a postgraduate professional role in the relevant field within a national or international organization.
  Publications: Minimum of 10 research publications with at least 4 in HEC-recognized journals.

Terms & Conditions

1. General age relaxation will be given as per Government rules.

2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

3. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.

4. No TA/DA will be provided for the interview.

5. The Centre reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of advertised posts or withdraw the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
