CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are invited for the following positions in the respective Departments/Institutes of the University of Karachi as per criteria and terms & conditions given below:

1. DIRECTOR (Quality Enhancement Cell)

  • No. of Posts: One (Contractual)

  • Qualification:

    • First Class Master's Degree or preferably a higher degree from an HEC-recognized institute with no third division in the entire academic career.

    • 10 years of administrative experience (preferably in QEC) in any public or reputed private sector higher education institution or equivalent.

    • A law degree is highly desirable.

  • Skills and Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of quality assurance and data processing related to SAR, IPE, and academic audit for universities and affiliated institutions.

    • Understanding of quality control and enhancement parameters as described by HEC.

    • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.

    • Strong command of office automation.

2. HORTICULTURE OFFICER

  • No. of Posts: One (Contractual)

  • Qualification:

    • First Class B.S. degree in Horticulture or M.Sc. in Botany/Agriculture with specialization in Plant Taxonomy.

    • Preferably a higher degree.

    • 5 years of experience in a botanical garden.

  • Additional Qualification:

    • Field knowledge will be considered as an additional qualification.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. Applications must be submitted on the prescribed form, obtainable from the HRM Section, Ground Floor, New Administration, University of Karachi, on payment of Rs. 4,000 through a pay order in favor of "University of Karachi."

  2. Degrees/Certificates must be obtained from universities/boards/institutions recognized by the HEC.

  3. Applications on plain paper will NOT be accepted.

  4. The maximum age limit for applicants is 43 years on the closing date of the advertisement. Age relaxation is available for internal candidates/government employees.

  5. Candidates already employed in government, semi-government, and autonomous organizations in Pakistan must apply through the proper channel.

  6. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the test/interview/selection board of the university.

  7. The University of Karachi reserves the right to withdraw any post or cancel the advertisement at any time without assigning any reason.

  8. Candidates must possess a Sindh domicile.
