1. General Manager - Infrastructure & Planning

About the Role:
The General Manager of Infrastructure & Planning will lead and manage TransKarachi's infrastructure, planning, and environmental units. The role involves overseeing all construction activities, ensuring quality, durability, and long-term maintenance of infrastructure. The position emphasizes adherence to occupational health and safety standards and implementation of best practices in design and project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction activities as per project guidelines and standards.
  • Enforce occupational health and safety protocols at all sites.
  • Oversee contractor performance to ensure high-quality and durable construction.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 23 staff members, supervising work plans, monitoring activities, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Develop and apply best practices for design, delivery, and safety in infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 15 years of professional experience.
    • At least 5 years in a senior management role (e.g., General Manager).
    • Significant experience managing large urban infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with international financing institutions is advantageous.

2. Contracts Specialist

About the Role:
The Contracts Specialist will manage performance-based contracts for service providers and vendors, ensuring compliance with TransKarachi policies and international standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with terms and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for vendor engagement and contract alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Management, or Law, with specialized training in procurement and contract management (e.g., ADB/MDH courses).
  • Experience:
    • Relevant professional certifications are a plus.
    • Membership in recognized professional organizations is preferred.

3. Legal Specialist

About the Role:
The Legal Specialist provides high-quality legal support on commercial matters to ensure compliance with TransKarachi's goals and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: LLM in Corporate or Commercial Law from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification corporate legal experience.

4. Finance Manager

About the Role:
The Finance Manager will oversee financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial compliance for large infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Certification in CA, CMA, ACCA, or CFA (active membership required).
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, including 3 years in a managerial role.

5. Deputy Manager - Accounts

About the Role:
The Deputy Manager of Accounts supports effective financial operations, manages day-to-day accounting activities, and ensures regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare statements.
  • Monitor compliance with financial regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Certification in CA, CMA, or ACCA.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance or accounting.
