The Government of Punjab invites online applications from eligible candidates for registration as Potential Teachers under the project "Establishment of Adult Literacy Centre in Punjab" (Read, Write, Thrive بژموالكهو، ترق كرو initiative) across 36 districts of Punjab. Below are the eligibility criteria and application details:


Eligibility Criteria

  • Age:
    18 to 55 years (Male/Female/Transgender)

  • Qualification:
    Minimum Matriculate (at least 50% marks). Preference will be given to candidates with FA or Graduate qualifications in Computer Sciences.

  • Domicile:
    Punjab

  • CNIC:
    Required (Compulsory)

  • Remuneration:
    Rs. 12,500 per month


How to Apply

Candidates must register online by visiting the department’s official website at https://literacy.punjab.gov.pk.

  • A video tutorial is available on the website to guide candidates through the registration process.
  • Teachers will be selected for various types of Adult Literacy Centres (ALCs), such as General, Health, Agriculture, Livestock, Prison, Fisheries, and Mines & Minerals categories.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Appointment Type:

    • Teachers will be appointed on a part-time, time-bound, honorary, or contract basis for a period of 6 months (non-extendable) within the district, tehsil, or union council of their permanent residence.
  2. Facility Arrangements:

    • Selected teachers must coordinate with the Literacy Mobilizer to arrange a suitable room for the Adult Literacy Centre.
  3. Application Deadline:

    • All applications must be submitted online by 30-11-2024 (Saturday).
    • Applications submitted by hand, courier, or postal service will not be accepted.
  4. Learner Registration:

    • After selection, teachers are required to register a group of 25 to 30 learners (age 16+) on the NFEMIS portal in collaboration with the Literacy Mobilizer.
