SITUATION VACANT

The Public Health Engineering & Rural Development Department invites applications from eligible candidates possessing Domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Sindh Province. A total of 200 positions for the post of Sub-Engineer are available on a 3-year contract basis, extendable based on performance and applicable laws in Sindh. Recruitment will be conducted through a competitive and transparent process managed by SIBA Testing Service (STS).


1. Position Title: Sub-Engineer (BS-11)

Disciplines: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics
Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (at least Second Division) in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Chemical Engineering from a recognized institute/university. Candidates must be registered as Professional Engineers with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
  • OR a Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineer (DAE) in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Chemical Technology from an institute recognized by the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) along with 3 years of relevant experience.

Age Limit: 21-28 years


Testing & Application Procedure:

  1. Online Registration: Candidates must fill out the online application on the official SIBA Testing Services (STS) portal at apply.sts.net.pk.

  2. Challan Fee: Upon completing the online application, a system-generated challan of Rs. 1500 (non-refundable) will be issued. Payment can be made at any branch of ABL Bank Ltd or through the 1Bill internet banking option.

  3. Required Documents: Candidates must upload their CNIC, Domicile, PRC/Form D, one recent photograph, and academic documents during the online application process.

  4. Verification: The original documents of shortlisted candidates will be verified during the interview stage. Any false or incorrect declaration will result in disqualification.

  5. Deadline: No applications will be accepted after the last date of submission.

  6. Test & Interview Schedule: All information regarding test dates, venues, and results will be communicated via the STS website and online call letters. Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the portal for updates.

  7. Age Relaxation: Applicable per the Sindh Government's age relaxation policy.

  8. Government Employees: Candidates working in government organizations should apply through the proper channel.

  9. Vacancy Modification: The Public Health Engineering Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies.

  10. Recruitment Cancellation: The Government of Sindh holds the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage without explanation.

  11. Eligibility: Candidates not meeting the criteria should not apply.

  12. Incomplete Applications: Applications with missing information or documents will not be entertained.

  13. TA/DA: No TA/DA will be provided for test or interview attendance.

  14. Application Deadline: The last date for submission of the online application is November 11, 2024.
