CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC) is seeking a dynamic corporate leader to serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position is offered under a performance-based contract in accordance with the criteria approved by the Board.

1. Period of Contract:

  • 03 Years

2. Maximum Age Limit:

  • 62 Years

3. Minimum Requisite Qualification:

The candidate must fulfill at least one of the following qualifications:

  1. Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in:
      • Business Administration
      • Public Administration
      • Finance
      • Commerce
      • Risk Management
      • Actuarial Science
      • Marketing
    • From a well-reputed institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or any professional qualification related to the core line of business of the State-Owned Enterprise (SOE).

    OR

  2. Professional Qualification:

    • Membership of a recognized body of professional accountants.

    OR

  3. Specialized Qualifications:

    • (a) Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII/FCII), or
    • (b) Associate or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK), Society of Actuaries (US), or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Pakistan Society of Actuaries, or
    • (c) Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or Actuarial Science from an HEC-recognized university.

4. Experience:

The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience, including:

  1. Chief Executive Officer/Senior Management Level:

    • At least 5 years in roles such as CEO, C-level positions, or Senior Management in governance, business administration, finance, commerce, or marketing within well-known organizations with a commercial orientation.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with global/international experience.

    OR

  2. Similar Organizations:

    • Experience as CEO or Senior Management in organizations with commercial attributes.

    OR

  3. Leadership in Professional Institutes:

    • Experience at the level of a governing body member of a professional institute or as a Head of Department.

The candidate must meet the Fit and Proper Criteria outlined in Schedule-IV of the SOE Act, 2023.

5. Job Role & Responsibilities:

The CEO will be responsible for the management of the Corporation and its operations under the delegation and oversight of the Board.

  • Ensure the implementation of strategies and policies approved by the Board.
  • Establish and monitor mechanisms to ensure that:
    • Funds and resources are safeguarded.
    • Operations are conducted economically, efficiently, and effectively in line with the SOE business plan and statutory obligations.
  • Manage all affairs and business operations of the Corporation in compliance with the rules and regulations.
