Overview
The Sindh Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) in Karachi is a leading medical institution recognized by HEC Pakistan as a degree-awarding institute. Established by the Sindh Provincial Assembly Act-2009, SIMS offers free-of-cost, specialized treatment for renal, liver, and related diseases, and serves as a 1,500-bedded tertiary healthcare institution. In addition to patient care, SIMS provides a variety of postgraduate education and training programs for medical graduates in specialized fields.

Applications are now open for FCPS, MCPS, IMM, MS, and MD programs in a range of specialties. Detailed information on the programs, eligibility requirements, and the application process is provided below.

First Fellowship Programs
- Specializations: Urology, Nephrology, Anaesthesiology, Chemical Pathology, Diagnostic Radiology, Haematology, Histopathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Radiation Oncology
- Eligibility:
- For Urology and Nephrology: FCPS-Part I in Surgery/Medicine with two years of postgraduate training in Surgery/Medicine, as per CPSP standards (IMM-cleared candidates preferred).
- Other Specializations: FCPS-I in relevant fields (e.g., Anaesthesiology, Medicine, Pathology, Radiology).

Second Fellowship Programs
- Specializations: Critical Care Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Paediatric Cardiology, Paediatric Nephrology, Vascular Surgery
- Eligibility: FCPS in Anaesthesia/Paediatrics/Medicine/Surgery, depending on the specific program.

Application Process
How to Apply:
- Online Application: Submit applications through SIMS, Karachi's website before 11 November 2024. Applications sent by email or hand will not be considered.
- Entry Test: Candidates meeting eligibility criteria will undergo an entry test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- Test Communication: Test date notifications will be sent to applicants via email and SMS and published on the SIMS website one week prior.
