As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

The project SAR has the objective to improve the prerequisites for climate change adapta- tion and climate risk management in certain areas of Pakistan. The development of climate risk assessments will set the ground for new planning and financing instruments dealing with climate risk management at provincial level, with a focus on the most vulner- able communities. In this context, GIZ is looking for professionals for:

Job title: Senior Advisor Climate Finance
(Reference No. SAR 2021/003)
Duty Station: Islamabad

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree (Masters' or Bachelors' degree) in environmental sciences, climate change, finance economics, geography or other social sciences, climate change adaptation, development studies or related fields from a recognized institution.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the review, design, formulation, implementation and evaluation of climate finance projects and programmes and/ or a comparable position in the development sector and/ or research related position and/ or international or national Non-Governmental Organization.
 

Job title: Technical Advisor Climate Finance
(Reference No. SAR 2022/009)
Duty Station: Islamabad

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree (Master's or Bachelor' degree) in envii onmental studies, climate change, political science, public administration or related fields from a recognized institution.
  • At least 5 years' professional experience in a comparable position in the development sector and/ or research related position and/ or international or national Non-Governmental Organization.
