EXAMINATION-2025 FOR APPOINTMENT OF SECTION OFFICERS (BS-17 & BS-18) IN OFFICE MANAGEMENT GROUP (OMG) BY TRANSFER

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will tentatively hold the Examination-2025 for appointment by transfer in the Office Management Group (OMG) for 42 vacancies (22 in BS-17 and 20 in BS-18). The examination will be conducted from 17-02-2025 to 22-02-2025 as per the Conduct of Examination Rules, 2020, notified via SRO 1182(1)/2020 dated 3rd November 2020. EXAMINATION DETAILS

  • Written Examination: 550 Marks (Medium of Examination: English)
  • Viva Voce: 200 Marks (Only successful candidates of the written examination will qualify for viva voce)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree: At least Second Class or Grade “C” from an HEC/PHEC-recognized Pakistani university or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by HEC.
  • Exception: Candidates with Third Division in Bachelor’s are eligible if they have achieved a higher division in their Master’s degree.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 30 years (as of the closing date, 2nd December 2024).
  • No age relaxation allowed under any circumstances.

3. Service Requirement

  • Must be a Regular BS-17 or BS-18 Civil Servant, Provincial Civil Servant, Government Servant, Public Servant, or officer of an autonomous body/corporation.
  • Must have served as a Section Officer in the Federal Secretariat for at least three (03) years.
  • Candidates holding BS-17 posts can only apply for BS-17 vacancies, and BS-18 holders can only apply for BS-18 posts.

EXAMINATION FEE

  • Amount: Rs. 2,200/- (non-refundable)
  • Payment must be deposited in the National Bank of Pakistan under the Head of Account:
    "C-02101-Organs of State, FPSC Exam Fee".
  • Blank Treasury Challan (T.R.6) is available on the FPSC website.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION SUBMISSION

  1. Online Application: Candidates must apply online from 17th November 2024 to 2nd December 2024.
  2. Hard Copy Submission: Submit the signed hard copy of the online form along with attested documents and photographs within 10 days of the closing date to:
    Secretary, FPSC, F-5/1, Aga Khan Road, Islamabad.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES

  1. Ensure the online form is filled accurately. Hard copy entries must match the online form. No alterations will be accepted.
  2. Attach all attested copies of required documents and a recent photograph.
  3. Dispatch the complete hard copy application to FPSC Headquarters within the stipulated timeframe.
  4. Follow the Rules for Appointment by Transfer in Office Management Group (OMG), 2020 strictly.
