Position: Rector

Institution:
The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIK), located in Topi, Swabi District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, is a leading university for Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan. Established 31 years ago, the university operates as a private, non-profit institution under SOPREST and derives its Charter from the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The President of Pakistan serves as its Chancellor.

Position Overview:
The university is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary leader to serve as the Rector for a term of three years.

Qualifications:

  • A postgraduate degree in one of the following fields:
    • Natural Sciences and Technology
    • Engineering
    • Computer Sciences
    • Information Technology
  • Extensive management and administrative experience.
  • Additional qualifications:
    • Eminent academic or distinguished administrator.
    • Proven track record in institution building and achieving academic excellence.
    • Strong management acumen.
  • Nominations for candidates will also be considered.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 20 years in Academic, Research, or Administrative leadership roles.
  • Wide-ranging management experience at the highest level, preferably within educational institutions.

Remuneration:

  • Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
