Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) Job Opportunities

PMDFC has been actively supporting local governments in building infrastructure and promoting healthy cities. The company is seeking qualified and motivated candidates to assist in the establishment of landfill sites and material recovery facilities across Punjab on a contractual basis. Below are the available positions:

1. Manager/Program Officer (Environment & Social Management) / Senior Environment & Climate Change Expert

Number of Positions: 01

Qualification:

  • Minimum 16 years of education or higher degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum 08 years of post-qualification professional and technical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing Initial Environmental Examinations (IEEs), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), and Environmental Management and Monitoring Plans (EMMPs) required under public sector environmental regulations.

  • Experience in preparing Social Assessment Reports (SARs), Social Management Plans (SMPs), and Resettlement & Rehabilitation Action Plans (RAPs) in compliance with Environmental and Social Framework (ESF).

  • Practical experience in addressing social issues and implementing effective management strategies.

  • Prior experience with public sector entities, donor agencies, and familiarity with government environmental regulations and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of foreign-aided projects and the Local Government System regulatory framework will be an added advantage.

  • Maximum age limit: 55 years.

2. Deputy Manager/Deputy Program Officer (Environment & Social Management) / Environment & Climate Change Expert

Number of Positions: 02

Qualification:

  • Minimum 16 years of education or higher degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • Minimum 04 years of post-qualification professional and technical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing IEEs, EIAs, and EMMPs required under public sector environmental regulations.

  • Experience in preparing Social Assessment Reports (SARs), Social Management Plans (SMPs), and Resettlement & Rehabilitation Action Plans (RAPs) in compliance with ESF.

  • Working knowledge of the Local Government System and regulatory framework will be an added advantage.

  • Maximum age limit: 45 years.

3. Assistant Manager/Research Analyst (Environment & Social Management)

Number of Positions: 01

Qualification:

  • Minimum 16 years of education in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or Climate Change and Adaptation from an HEC-recognized university.

Experience:

  • At least 01 year of research experience in key areas of environmental sustainability and report writing.

  • Knowledge of local laws and policies on environmental management.

  • Experience in developing Environmental Assessment reports, progress reports, presentations, research-based resource materials, and taking minutes of meetings.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Maximum age limit: 30 years.

Compensation:

The compensation for these positions is market-driven and commensurate with the candidates’ experience and qualifications.
