Career Opportunity: Public Relations Officer

A prominent Public Sector Organization based in Islamabad is seeking qualified Pakistani nationals for the position of Public Relations Officer on a contract basis.

Position Details:

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification: Master's or Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
    • Marketing
    • International Relations
    • Mass Communication
    • Journalism
    • Media and Communication Studies
  • Preferred Qualifications: A second degree in Physics or Engineering, or at least Intermediate Education in Science will be preferred. Alternatively, a degree in Engineering or Science (Physics) combined with additional studies in Marketing and Business Communication will also be considered.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of proven experience in:
    • Marketing
    • Business Communication
    • Public Relations
    • Media Spokesperson

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns.
  2. Business Trend Analysis: Analyze trends, especially within the Space Industry.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Community Engagement: Recommend and facilitate avenues for community engagement.
  5. Event Management: Organize and execute public events, seminars, advertisements, and promotional activities.
  6. Media Relations: Support executives in press/media briefings, interviews, and interactions.
  7. Media Networking: Cultivate relationships with media outlets to promote the organization’s achievements and counteract negative publicity.
  8. Official Communications: Draft official statements, press releases, and corporate communications.
  9. Crisis Management: Develop strategies to mitigate hostile media campaigns.
  10. Social Media and Mass Media Campaigns: Create effective social media and traditional media campaigns, leveraging friendly social media activists.
  11. Media Trends: Stay updated on trends across electronic, social, and print media.
