JOB VACANCY: PROGRAMME MANAGER

About Brooke Pakistan:
Brooke Pakistan is a non-profit public limited company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. The organization is committed to improving the lives of working equine animals (horses, donkeys, and mules) across Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Programme Manager to lead our efforts in achieving significant improvements in equine welfare through strategic program planning and execution.

Position: Programme Manager

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

  • Education: Master’s degree in International Development, Project Management, Animal Sciences, Economics, or a related field from a recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of work experience in program management at a senior level in an NGO, development agency, or public sector organization.

  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams, establishing strategic directions, planning, budgeting, and ensuring high performance and impact.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong report and proposal writing skills.

    • Experience in animal-based projects or broader rural development initiatives.

    • Knowledge of equine welfare and related issues.

Desirable Competencies:

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Ability to assess project effectiveness and implement improvements.

  • Community Development & Social Mobilization: Expertise in engaging communities to drive sustainable change.

  • Group Dynamics & Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.

  • Project Cycle Management: Competence in planning, implementing, and evaluating projects effectively.

  • Collaborative & Supportive Approach: Ability to resolve issues internally and externally with stakeholders.

  • Livelihood Development: Experience in creating livelihood opportunities for marginalized communities.

  • One Health & One Welfare: Understanding of integrated approaches to health and welfare in the context of equines.

  • Risk Management: Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks associated with program execution.
