RECRUITMENT OF PRINCIPAL

Applications are invited for the post of Principal (BS-20) at the Federal Medical College (FMC), under the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (NHSR&C), Islamabad. This position is open for a period of two years on a contract basis, or until the availability of a regular incumbent, whichever is earlier. The requisite qualifications and experience are detailed below:

Requisite Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Medical Qualifications:

    • MBBS or equivalent medical qualifications recognized/registered by the PM&DC.
    • PM&DC recognized Level-IIb or Level-III qualifications in Medical Sciences subjects.
    • Or equivalent PM&DC Level-IIb or Level-III qualifications in Medical Sciences, approved for teaching by SRC and recognized/registered by PM&DC.

  2. Research Publications:

    • A total of at least five research publications are required. Only original articles published in a PM&DC-approved medical journal will be acceptable. Dissertations or theses will not be counted.

  3. Administrative Experience:

    • Three years of administrative experience as Vice-Principal or Administrator in a public sector medical institution.

  4. Additional Qualifications:

    • Additional qualifications in public health recognized by PM&DC.

Important Instructions:

  1. Application Submission:

    • Applicants already in government service or in the service of autonomous bodies, corporations, etc., must apply through the proper channel. Advance copies may be submitted, and NOC should be provided at the time of the interview.

  2. Age Relaxation:

    • Upper age limit shall be relaxed as follows:
      • Five years for all candidates, except Armed Forces Personnel.
      • Ex-Servicemen up to 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces, whichever is less.
      • Government servants and contract employees who have completed 2 years of continuous government service on the closing date for receipt of applications, up to 10 years, to a maximum age of 55 years.

  3. Application Deadline:

    • Applications along with CV, three recent photographs, attested copies of CNIC, academic degrees, experience certificates certified by PM&DC, and a list/details of research publications should reach the office of Section Officer (H-IV) within 15 days of this advertisement.
