Call for Expressions of Interest
The Government of Sindh’s Planning and Development Department (PADD) is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for key economic and planning positions to support developmental schemes and projects across the province. The PADD oversees developmental initiatives, monitors progress, and provides recommendations to the government. Qualified candidates with the relevant academic and professional background are encouraged to apply for these positions.
Available Positions and Qualifications
1. Chief Economist
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Economics from an HEC-recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience, particularly in economic policy formulation, with expertise in handling major economic programs.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend key economic strategies.
- Support in implementing provincial economic initiatives, including foreign assistance.
- Represent PADD in national and provincial committees, including participation in meetings held in Islamabad.
2. Project Programmer
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics or relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Experience: At least 10 years in project planning and management, with demonstrated experience in overseeing complex projects.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed assessments and monitor project implementations.
- Identify and address challenges in developmental programs.
- Assist in securing international funding and support for economic affairs initiatives.
Terms of Employment
- The positions will be awarded transparently, based on merit.
- Successful candidates will undergo a probationary period with performance evaluations.
- The initial contract will be for 12 months, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
