PESHAWAR ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY (PESCO) VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) is a Public Limited Power Distribution Company, mandated to supply electricity to its valued customers. PESCO invites applications to fill the following positions in its Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Department on a contract basis, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance. Details are as follows:

1. Director Safety

  • No. of Posts: 1
  • Qualification:
    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a Power Utility Organization.
    • OR MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3 years of experience in HSE leadership.
  • Certifications Preferred: Lead Auditor in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or NEBOSH/IOSH certification, or other recognized certifications in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience in implementing an HSE Safety Management System within the power sector.
    • Knowledge of National & Provincial HSE Laws & Regulations (including NEPRA Power Safety Code) is essential.
    • Experience as a Safety Trainer will be an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: 45 years

2. Deputy Director Safety

  • No. of Posts: 1
  • Qualification:
    • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3 years of experience in HSE leadership within a Power Utility Organization.
    • OR MS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 2 years of experience in HSE leadership.
  • Certifications Preferred: Lead Auditor in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or NEBOSH/IOSH certification, or other recognized certifications in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
  • Experience:
    • In-depth knowledge of implementing HSE Safety Management Systems in the power sector.
    • Familiarity with National & Provincial HSE Laws & Regulations (including NEPRA Power Safety Code) is essential.
    • Experience as a Safety Trainer will be an added advantage.
  • Age Limit: 40 years

Instructions

  1. Contract Duration: Employment will be on a contract basis for an initial period of 1 year, extendable based on performance. Selected candidates will work exclusively in the safety department.

  4. Foreign Qualification: Candidates with foreign qualifications must provide an HEC Equivalence Certificate.
  5. Nationality: Applicants must be Pakistani citizens.
  6. Government Employees: Candidates currently employed by Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Public Organizations must apply through the proper channel. In the event of selection, the candidate must resign or retire early from their current organization before joining PESCO. No deputation or lien will be permitted.
