Career Opportunities at Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO)

Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan is inviting applications from qualified professionals for the positions of Project Directors for ongoing and under-construction hydropower projects. The positions are on a project basis and include:

1. 300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project in District Balakot
2. 69 MW Lawi Hydropower Project in District Chitral
3. Rehabilitation of 17 MW Ranolia HPP in District Kohistan

Available Positions and Requirements

1. Project Director (BPS-20) - 300 MW Balakot Hydropower Project

• Number of Posts: 1
• Qualification: At least a 2nd class Bachelor's Degree (16 years of education) in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical) from an HEC-recognized university and registered with PEC.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Implementation, with at least 3 years in a Senior Management role (BPS-19 or equivalent) in Hydropower Projects.
• Additional Skills: Knowledge of Project Management fundamentals, specifically the Government of Pakistan's Project Planning and Management Processes and Procedures.
• Age Limit: Maximum 63 years at the closing date of the advertisement.
• Salary: Market-based salary and remuneration.

2. Project Director (BPS-19) - 69 MW Lawi Hydropower Project & 17 MW Ranolia Rehabilitation HPP

• Number of Posts: 1

Important Notes

• Domicile Requirement: Applicants must have domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or merged areas (erstwhile FATA).
• Preference: Candidates with experience in hydropower projects or higher qualifications in the relevant field will be given preference.
• Project-Based Employment: The posts will be abolished automatically upon the completion of the projects.
