In line with this strategy, the Bank is seeking talented, dedicated, and experienced professionals for the following positions in the Human Resource Management area, based in Karachi. Qualified individuals meeting the basic eligibility criteria are invited to apply.
1. Position/Job Title: Wing Head Pension & Investment (VP)
Reporting to: Divisional Head Compensation & Benefits (C&BD)
Educational/Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor's or Master's degrees in HR/Public Administration and/or professional HR certifications such as SHRM, CHRP, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum 08 years of experience in Human Resources, Banking, or Finance, with at least 05 years in Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Payroll, or Pension Funds.
Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:
- In-depth knowledge of Pension & Investment and HR Operations processes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of SAP-HCM is preferred.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure the timely processing of retirement and pension benefits for the Bank’s employees.
- Compile and revise pension rules as per Board directives and coordinate with consultants for finalization.
- Supervise the monthly pension disbursement process.
- Prepare and provide periodic pension reports for State Bank inspections and internal/external audits.
- Improve turnaround times for Pension & Investments Wing processes while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the Tax Division to acquire tax exemption certificates for the Pension & Benevolent Fund Trust.
- Lead the department and ensure timely completion of assignments, identifying training requirements for staff.
- Address pensioners' grievances to ensure uninterrupted payments.
- Manage the NBP Pension Fund Accounts in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Conduct departmental audits and rectify observations from previous reports.
2. Position/Job Title: Manager Compensation & Benefits (AVP)
Reporting to: Wing Head - Compensation & Benefits (C&BD)
Educational/Professional Qualification:
- Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/institute recognized by the HEC.
- Preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor's or Master's degrees in HR/Public Administration and/or professional HR certifications such as SHRM, CHRP, etc.
Experience:
- Minimum 06 years of experience in Human Resources, Banking, or Finance, with at least 03 years in Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, or Payroll.
Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:
- In-depth knowledge of Compensation & Benefits and HR Operations processes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of SAP-HCM is preferred.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage final settlement activities for resigned, retired, dismissed, or deceased employees.
- Oversee the processing of pensionary benefits for Bank employees.
- Supervise retirement and pension benefits processing within defined timelines.
- Manage the pension fund investment portfolio.
- Assist with medical and hospitalization claim processing.
- Handle off-cycle payments, such as fuel, mobile, entertainment, and club membership fees.
- Process staff loans according to Bank policies.
- Support the implementation of various HR initiatives and manage administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate MIS for HR areas and ensure data accuracy.
- Coordinate with HR Governance Division for audits and ensure timely response to queries.
- Oversee administrative affairs of the Compensation & Benefits Division.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on various HR-related matters.
Application Process:

The employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, which may be renewed at the discretion of management. A competitive compensation package and benefits will be offered as per Bank policy.
