Outline of Main Duties/ Responsibilities
Unit Head - Backup & Replication
Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC Candidates having a Master's degree in IT/ Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent and/or relevant certification(s) will be preferred
Minimum 03 years of experience in the field of IT, out of which at least 01 year of experience in Systems/Back-up Administration/System Engineering, preferably in bank(s)
Ability to work within a cohesive, high performing, and closely knitted team
Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
To perform storage & back-up administration and operational tasks in compliance with specific product requirements, and organizational SLAs and OLAS
To manage existing back-up solutions and provide periodic reports to senior
management To perform proactive checks, create automated scripts, and packages that make
operations more efficient
To make available Virtual Tape Libraries for back-up and recovery effectiveness To be responsible for all aspects of managing back-up infrastructure, including but not limited to, installation, monitoring, provisioning, back-up & recovery, and
performance tuning To work effectively across various teams/customers of RAS (Back-up and Storage)
services develop technology standards and establish performance guidelines to support
daily operations of back-up and storage infrastructure
To provide tier-Il support and troubleshooting of any enterprise level back-up solution (DELL EMC Data Domain, Networker & Avarnar, IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM), Veeam BR, Symantec NetBackup, etc.) and storage management solution To do capacity planning to ensure availability of sufficient resources to meet IT,
business requirements To ensure DR drils and regular back-ups restoration and support for validation activities are extended at regular intervals
To proactively identify and resolve common root causes of issues and address those to improve the overall quality of production stability
To provide 24/7 support trelated to the field, as and when required To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

To manage day-to-day operations, including installations of Microsoft Windows
Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, as well as Active Directory user management tasks, such as password resets, account lockouts, enabling/disabling IDs, and managing group memberships
manage day-to-day user operations of SCCM, DNS, DHCP, ROOT CA servers along with managing certifications installed on various Windows-based applications
To remediate Windows-based servers based on VA assessments To troubleshoot hardware and software issues on servers and other related devices, diagnose the cause of incidents escalated from other teams, investigate where
possible and provide suitable solutions To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)
