VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Ministry of Law and Justice invites applications from qualified professionals for the following position under SPPS Policy on a contract basis, initially for a period of two (02) years (extendable upon satisfactory performance):

Minimum Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Education:

    • LLM or Bar-at-Law from an HEC-recognized local or international university.
  • Experience:

    • 15 years of legal experience in opinion and advisory work.
    • At least 10 years in senior executive roles within the public sector, preferably with the Federal Government.

Job Description:

The Senior Technical Advisor will:

  • Provide expert advice on legal, regulatory, technical, financial, and strategic matters, including the privatization of state assets.
  • Interpret and implement international laws, and handle complex financial and legal issues.
  • Offer legal guidance on domestic and international matters.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review domestic, international, and commercial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance of contracts and treaties with national and international legal standards.
  • Assist on various legal, legislative, and corporate matters as required.
  • Attend meetings of Cabinet Committees, Sub-Committees, and other relevant bodies.

  • Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

  2. For government servants, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory at the time of application.
  3. Incomplete applications or those submitted by hand will not be considered.
  4. Only candidates shortlisted by the Scrutiny Committee will be called for an interview by the Selection Board.
  5. Upon selection, candidates employed in Government Departments, Autonomous, or Semi-Autonomous bodies must resign or retire before joining the position.
