VACANCY POSITIONS

The Centre of Digital Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Islamabad, requires the services of qualified, professional, energetic, experienced, and motivated individuals for appointment against a PSDP project for the following positions on a purely contract basis:

Qualification, Experience, & Eligibility Criteria

Deputy Director (Data Sciences)

• Qualification:
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Master's/Bachelor's (16 years education) degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the HEC.
  • OR
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Bachelor's (16 years education) degree in Computer Engineering/Computer System Engineering or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by PEC.
• Experience: 5 years' experience in the field of Information Technology/System Analysis & Design/Software Development/Computer Programming/Data Sciences/Artificial Intelligence in BPS-17 or above, or equivalent, in Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Organization.
• Maximum Age: 35 years.
• Preference: Candidates with 5 years' experience in public sector PSDP projects will be preferred.

Assistant Director (AI & Cloud Computing)

• Qualification:
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Master's/Bachelor's (16 years education) degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the HEC.
  • OR
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Bachelor's (16 years education) degree in Computer Engineering/Computer System Engineering or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by PEC.
• Maximum Age: 30 years.
• Preference: Candidates certified in Data Sciences/AI/Cloud Computing with relevant experience will be preferred. Expertise in programming languages such as C, C++, or Java is an additional advantage.

Deputy Assistant Director (Admin)

• Qualification:
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Bachelor's (14 years education) degree in Administration/Arts or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by the HEC.
  • OR
  • 2nd Class or Grade 'C' Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer System Engineering or equivalent qualification from a University recognized by PEC.
• Maximum Age: 28 years.
• Preference: Candidates with experience in IT and system administration, OS & software installation will be preferred.

General Terms and Conditions:

1. All posts are on merit, with the place of posting in Islamabad/Lahore.
2. The initial contract will be for one year or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
3. The Ministry reserves the right not to fill the posts or to withhold appointments against the advertised posts.
4. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.
5. Government employees may apply for project posts through the proper channel. However, if selected, they must resign from government service before appointment on the project post.
6. Age relaxation will be granted as per Federal Government rules.
