SITUATION VACANT
Ministry of Law and Justice invites, on the basis of following eligibility criteria and subject to others
conditions, applications for appointment as Member Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue (ATIR),
Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Karachi and Peshawar: -

(a) is an advocate of a High Court with a standing of not less than fifteen years, as prescribed in the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue, (Appointments, Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2024 and under section 130 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001; or (b) has for a period of not less than ten years practiced professionally as a chartered accountant within the meaning of the Chartered Accountants' Ordinance, 1961 (X of 1961); or (c) has for a period of not less than ten years practiced professionally as a cost and management accountant within the meaning of the Cost and Management Accountants Act,
1966 (XIV of 1966).
The Members shall be appointed for a period of three (03) years on contract basis. The rules containing the eligibility criteria for the candidates is available on the website of Ministry of Law & Justice
(www.molaw.gov.pk). Applications are to be submitted on the prescribed form available at the Ministry of Law and Justice portal. Any format of the
application other than the online application form will not be entertained.
(d) Last Date for submission of online application is not later than fifteen (15) days from the date of advertisement. Incomplete and late submitted applications shall not be entertained.

The Government servants and other Public Sector candidates are required to submit their applications "Through Proper
Channel" to Ministry of Law and Justice.
The written test will be conducted through a competitive examination by a designated institution/agency.
(g) Ministry of Law and Justice will inform the candidates about the venue, date and time of the test. Only short-listed candidates will be considered for the test.
(h) Interviews of successful candidates will be conducted by the Selection committee constituted under the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue, (Appointments, Terms and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2024. The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased by the Ministry of Law and Justice for which no separate (0)
advertisement will be made.
