SITUATION VACANT

The Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, Islamabad, offers challenging opportunities for the position of Member (Adaptation) in the Pakistan Climate Change Authority. This authority operates under the administrative control of the Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination, in line with section 6(1) of the Pakistan Climate Change Act, 2017. Relevant field experience is mandatory.

Qualification: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in fields related to Climate Change & Environment.	62 years (as of the closing date for applications)

Terms & Conditions:

Disqualification: No person shall be eligible for, or hold appointment as Member (Adaptation), if they:
- (a) Have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from service as a result of disciplinary proceedings.
- (b) Have been convicted by a court for an offense involving moral turpitude or corruption.
- (c) Are not, or were not, a citizen of Pakistan at the time of appointment or during the tenure.
- (d) Benefited from the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007 (LX of 2007).
Civil Servants/Government Servants: May apply subject to eligibility, through the proper channel. Applications will be dealt with in accordance with the terms & conditions of the MP Scales Policy, 2020.
Affidavit Requirement: Appointees under MP Scales must submit an affidavit declaring non-involvement in any other business or job that may result in a conflict of interest.
MP Scale Employees: Individuals already employed under MP Scale positions will be governed by the MP Scales Policy, 2020, which applies to tenure, performance evaluation, and contract extensions.
