SITUATION VACANT
Manager Health Safety & Environment (HSE)
Jamshoro Power Company Limited (JPCL), located at Jamshoro, is primarily responsible for generating electricity efficiently and managing the Operation & Maintenance of the Power Plant as per best utility practices in the best interest of the country. JPCL is currently involved in the successful commissioning of the 660 MW Coal Fired Power Project. JPCL is seeking a high-caliber, energetic, proactive, and result-oriented professional to work as Manager Health Safety & Environment (HSE) in the Company based at Jamshoro (Sindh). The HSE Officer will be a part of the Middle Management team and will effectively take on challenging assignments.

Job Profile:
Ensure implementation of HSE procedures & workplace safety protocols/SOP.
Perform Risk Assessments of all departments of Power Plants.
Liaison & coordinate with Regulators, EPA & other stakeholders/agencies.
Ensure HSE Trainings are conducted at the Company level.
Ensure effective Emergency Response Planning (ERP) program and manage the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to handle emergency situations.
Investigate incidents & accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
Monitor compliance with safety procedures and ensure SOPs are strictly implemented.
Perform duties assigned by JPCL Management.
Coordinate/Liaison with Security, Fire Fighting, Medical, and Rescue services providing personnel & departments.
Possess good knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and Local HSE standards.
Qualification and Experience:
BE/BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Environmental Engineering.
Diploma in NEBOSH/IOSH; OR NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC); OR OSHA Certificate; OR another approved Safety/HSE Certificate/Diploma.
General Instructor (GI) course from Civil Defense Pakistan.
At least 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience in occupational HSE (Preference will be given to professionals with Power Plant experience).
Tenure, Remuneration & Age:
The assignment is purely on a Contract basis, initially for a period of two (02) years, extendable as per applicable rules and subject to satisfactory performance/need basis.
The selected candidate will work under the managerial control of the JPCL.
A negotiable market-based salary package will be offered to the selected candidate considering their qualifications and experience.
Candidate should not be more than 45 years of age on the closing date of the receipt of the CV/application.
