Job Opportunity: Manager GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) – Department of IT Services and Design

The University of Lahore is seeking skilled and dedicated professionals to apply for the position of Manager GRC within the Department of IT Services and Design.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degrees are preferred).
  • Certifications (Highly Desirable):
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor
    • ISO 20000 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor
    • ITIL Foundation or Advanced certification
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in relevant fields, with at least 5 years specifically in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), risk management, or compliance-related roles.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement GRC policies and procedures aligned with ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and NIST frameworks.
  • Ensure effective communication of GRC policies to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular GRC training and awareness programs.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks related to information security and service management.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on risk status to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 20000, and NIST.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to verify adherence to established policies and controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in GRC processes.
