POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Vice Chancellor – Kohsar University, Murree

1. Overview

The Government of the Punjab, Higher Education Department (HED), invites applications from highly accomplished, qualified, and motivated professionals for the prestigious position of Vice Chancellor at Kohsar University, Murree.

2. Job Description

The Vice Chancellor will serve as the principal executive and academic officer of the university. The selected individual will be responsible for:

  • Promoting excellence in teaching, research, and publication.

  • Ensuring efficient administration and high academic standards.

  • Providing leadership in academic, administrative, and strategic planning.

3. Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be not more than 65 years of age on the last date for application submission.

  • Hold a PhD degree from an HEC-recognized or UNESCO-listed institution.

  • Have experience in a senior academic, research, or management leadership position.

  • Possess a distinguished record of research and publications.

  • Submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer before the interview.

4. Terms of Appointment and Salary

  • Tenure: The Vice Chancellor shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years, serving at the pleasure of the Chancellor.

  • Salary: As per Government approval, the appointee shall receive the maximum salary of a Tenure Track System Professor.

  3. List of HEC-recognized research publications with certified copies of the first page and journal index.

  4. Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting all aspects of eligibility and personal attributes.

  5. Three recent passport-sized photographs.

6. Deadline for Application

  • Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.

7. Interview Guidelines

  • All shortlisted candidates must appear in person for an interview.

  • Online interviews (via Skype/WhatsApp) will only be allowed for candidates currently employed abroad.

  • Each eligible candidate will be interviewed only once for one or more Vice Chancellor posts by the respective Search Committee.
