In line with this strategy, the Bank seeks talented, dedicated, and experienced professionals for the following position in Audit and Inspection (Area Audit & Inspection Office) based in Karachi.


Position Details

  • Position/Job Title: Internal Auditor (OG-III)
  • Reporting To: Lead Reviewer

Eligibility Criteria

Educational/Professional Qualification:

  • Minimum Graduation or equivalent from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by the HEC.
  • Candidates with a Master’s Degree and/or MBA (Finance) or relevant professional qualifications/certifications such as fresh ACCA/CIA will be preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 02 years of banking experience in Audit/Finance/Compliance/Risk/Operations/Business Governance functions.
  • Familiarity with internal audit practices and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of business communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform under deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, SAP, and Core Banking Applications.

Other Skills/Expertise/Knowledge Required:

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining consistent and quality output.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Conduct audits of branches and regional offices as per the Internal Audit Manual.
    • Collaborate with auditee management during audit processes.
    • Identify and escalate audit issues to management.
    • Prepare internal audit reports for branches and regional offices.
    • Ensure resolution of gaps identified in audit reports in consultation with the supervisor(s).
    • Follow up and discuss Corrective Action Plans (CAP) with relevant stakeholders.
    • Facilitate implementation of internal and external quality assurance recommendations.
    • Safeguard audit records effectively.
    • Manage internal audit MIS and back-office records efficiently.
    • Validate rectification status of regulatory findings.
    • Timely escalate reportable/critical issues and ensure periodic follow-ups.
    • Undertake any other assignment as directed by the supervisor(s).

Terms of Employment

  • Employment Type: Contractual (three years, renewable at management’s discretion).
  • Compensation: Selected candidates will be offered a competitive salary package and benefits as per the Bank’s policy.

Selection Process

  • Only shortlisted candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be invited for the assessment test and/or panel interviews.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for test/interview attendance.
