Job Opportunity: General Manager Operations

A Karachi-based Petroleum Refining Unit invites applications for the position of General Manager Operations. The selected candidate will report directly to the Managing Director of the organization.


Qualification & Experience

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 15-20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in the petroleum refining sub-sector.
    • At least 10 years of experience in a managerial position.

Job Responsibilities

The General Manager Operations will be responsible for the overall management of refinery operations, ensuring seamless functioning of all related processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operational activities of the refinery.
  • Managing operational issues, including troubleshooting and resolving critical challenges.
  • Supervising maintenance, technical services, safety, and process improvement teams.
  • Managing turnarounds and ensuring timely completion of operational targets.
  • Budgeting for operations and ensuring cost-effective execution.
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and yield improvement.
  • Implementing strategies to enhance overall operational efficiency.

Upper Age Limit

  • Maximum: 45 years
