FREE PINK EV SCOOTY SCHEME FOR WOMEN

The Transport and Mass Transit Department of the Government of Sindh is proud to announce a new initiative aimed at empowering women through enhanced personal mobility. Under this scheme, electric pink scooters (EV Scooties) will be distributed free of charge to eligible women across Sindh Province.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Residence: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Sindh.

  2. Status: The applicant must either be a student or a working woman.

  3. License: The applicant must hold a valid driving license (Motorbike or Car).

  4. Commitment: The selected applicant agrees not to sell or sublet the scooty for at least 7 years.

  5. Skill Test: After being selected via a draw, the applicant will be required to take a skill test focused on road safety.

  6. Training: The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) will provide free training sessions across Sindh to teach women how to ride the scooty.

Distribution Process:

The distribution of the electric scooties will be conducted through a transparent balloting process, which will be held in the presence of print and electronic media. A committee consisting of members from Excise, Transport, Finance, and media personnel will oversee the transparency of the balloting.
