Job Opportunity Announcement: Financial Management Specialist - Karachi Mobility Project (BRT-Yellow Line)

Position Title: Financial Management Specialist (One Position)

Employment Basis: Contract (1-year, renewable upon satisfactory performance)

Qualifications

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • A civil servant from the Pakistan Audit & Account Service (PAAS), qualified in the Final Passing Out Exam (FPOE) from the Department of Auditor General of Pakistan, currently serving in BPS 18-19.
  • Professional credentials such as CA, CMA, ICMA, ACCA, or an MBA in Finance.
  • A Master's degree in Accounting & Finance, MS Finance, or M.Com will be given preference.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial management, specifically in accounting, finance consulting services, audit, or accounts, after completing the required qualifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience with dollar-funded and public sector projects is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in working with the Finance Department/Division, Auditor General's office, Accountant General's office, and Planning Department/Commission.

Additional Information

  1. Employment Type: The position is purely on a temporary/contract basis, funded by an international lending agency, with annual renewal subject to performance.
  2. Regularization: This role does not entitle the candidate to claim permanent employment under any government policy.
  3. Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews based on qualification and experience. The selection will be merit-based and approved by the donor agency.
