Reko Diq Mining Company, operated by Barrick and a joint venture with the Government of Balochistan and the Government of Pakistan, is recruiting high-caliber individuals for the development of its outstanding, world-class mining project—the Reko Diq copper-gold mine in Balochistan.
Department: Maintenance & Construction
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site, Balochistan
Qualification: Certified Electrician from a recognized technical institute
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mining and process environments
Requirements:
Hands-on experience in MV, LV cable termination and jointing.
Proficiency in AC/DC, MV, and LV motor overhauling and rewinding.
Familiarity with computer skills.
Thorough understanding of facility electrical systems, including operation and maintenance of power generators, motors, transformers, UPS, control systems, and workshop apparatus.
Responsibilities:
Execute electrical tasks and troubleshoot issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
Support equipment installations.
Department: Communications
Location: Karachi
Qualification: Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years in communications, public relations, or marketing
Requirements:
Experience in content creation and platform management.
Established relationships with local and regional business media.
Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), advanced skills in PowerPoint.
Strong social media management skills (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs, etc.).
Event planning and execution experience.
Ability to work under pressure and collaborate with teams.
Interest in branding, reputation management, and staying current on industry trends.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Design, photography, and videography knowledge is an advantage.
Understanding of communication strategies and monitoring systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute digital and traditional communication strategies.
Manage content creation and stakeholder engagement.
Handle media relations and event coordination.
Ensure brand alignment and corporate messaging consistency.
Department: Engineering
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site, Balochistan
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Control Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Experience: Minimum 7 years in control system engineering in process plants, mining, or heavy industry environments
Requirements:
Expertise with ABB automation products (ABB 800xA systems, ABB 500M controllers, ABB SCADA/HMI development, ABB minerals library).
Certifications in ABB systems (ABB 800xA, ABB Drives, ABB SCADA) are highly desirable.
Additional certifications in MOXA Industrial Networking, Project Management, or safety-related fields are advantageous.
Advanced diagnostic skills in ABB control systems.
Experience in commissioning and configuring ABB VSDs and UMCs.
Strong knowledge of ProfiNet, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet-based networking protocols.
Experience in setting up and configuring network switches (MOXA preferred).
Proficient in inter-PLC communication and structured programming languages (C preferred).
Experience with Advanced Process Control (APC) systems.
Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and optimize ABB 800xA DCS systems.
Integrate controllers and commission equipment.
Manage industrial networks and troubleshoot control systems.
Provide technical support and training.
