Advertisement Reference:
In reference to the advertisement published on 1 August, 2024, in leading newspapers (Advertisement No. INF-KRY 2415-24), the Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA), under the World Bank funded Karachi Mobility Project, is launching a Women Bus Drivers Training Program. This exclusive training program is open to women and transgenders from Karachi and across Sindh province.

Program Overview:
This initiative aims to provide training for women and transgenders in operating Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) such as buses, trucks, trailers, and cranes. The program is part of the capacity-building efforts under the Karachi Mobility Project (Yellow Line BRTS).

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Minimum Matric/Intermediate qualification.
  • License Requirement: Possession of a valid Motor Car / LTV driving license.
  • Experience: Bus driving experience (if any) is a plus. Additional training will be provided.
  • Skills: Good communication skills.
  • Commitment: Candidates should be reliable and committed to learning.

Training Duration:

  • The training program will last 45 days.
