Pakistan WAPDA Foundation – Career Opportunity

Position: Director General (Housing) / Project Director (PD) – WAPDA Housing Scheme

Tenure: Fixed-term contract (details as per WAPDA policy)

1. Pay Package

  • Serving Employees: Last pay drawn + allowances as per BPS-20 scale

  • Retired Employees: Lump sum package of PKR 675,000 per month along with standard benefits

2. Qualification

  • Master’s degree from an HEC-recognized university

  • Serving or retired academia or armed forces officer eligible

3. Age Eligibility

  • As per WAPDA rules; specific limits depend on the contractual terms and prior service

4. Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of administrative experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant leadership/training experience at Staff College or equivalent

5. General Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and develop policies & procedures within a large organization

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Experience in planning, training, and program management

  • Ability to provide overall command, direction, and supervision of operations and training programs

  • Competence in managing day-to-day activities efficiently

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

6. Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the WAPDA Housing Scheme

  • Ensure implementation of policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives

  • Oversee operational, administrative, and technical activities

  • Report to the Secretary, Pakistan WAPDA Foundation

7. Regional / Provincial Quota

  • Open merit with consideration of regional/provincial representation as per WAPDA policy
