DIRECTOR GENERAL (SUPPORT & COORDINATION)

Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to Ministry of Energy (Power Division), Government of Pakistan for integrated planning of the Pakistan Power Sector, development of 10 years plan for generation and distribution/transmission network, and to administer, monitor and evaluate performance of Power Sector Entities.

The Director General (Support & Coordination) will report to the Managing Director PPMC and perform the tasks assigned under the thematic areas mentioned above and the Company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

We seek pro-active and result oriented professional with known integrity and reputation having impressive performance record, who should be able to

  • Review and administer conducive HR and Administration policies and procedures to attract, motivate, retain and reward competent personnel.
  • Develop understanding and application of the policies and procedures at all levels of the hierarchy.
  • Ensure proper Manpower Planning, automated skill inventory and succession planning as a continuous process.
  • Manage annual performance reviews of employees.
  • Analysis, design and implementation of Mandatory and Management Development Programs.
  • Ensure that grievance and disciplinary procedures are correctly implemented.
  • Provide functional and policy matter guidance to top management.
  • Evaluate need for out-sourcing work relating to administration.
  • Maintain effective contacts and relationship with govemment departments.
  • Investigations on instructions of Power Division/Assemblies/FIA.NAB.
  • Coordination with Entities for parliamentary business.
  • Managing Company's payroll.
  • Development and monitoring of Health, safety, Environment and Quality policy frameworks and implementation in Power Sector.
  • Ensure compliance to legal matters of the company.
 

Qualifications & Experience

Candidate must possess Master's degree in HRM or Business Administration or Public Administration from a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission. The candidate must have at least 15 years of relevant working experience after Master's Degree with reputed organizations and at least 3 years in senior managerial/head capacity (directly reporting to CEO/Head of Organization. b interpersonal skills, excellent presentation & problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis are perquisites. Must be IT savvy. Integrity and maturity are essential attributes. Must have the ability to handle confidential company information.

Duration & Emoluments

Contract for initial period of three years including first six months on probation. The contract is extendable for another term of three years subject to satisfactory performance. The salary will be Rs.1.0-1.5 million per month and other facilities according to company policy.
