NBP is seeking a Department Head - IS Project Management Office (AVP/VP), based in Karachi, to join its Risk Management (Information Security) division. This role is integral to the bank's objective of enhancing its information security functions and managing critical projects related to Information Security and IT solutions.
The ideal candidates must meet the following requirements:
Job Title: Department Head - IS Project Management Office (AVP/VP)
Reporting To: Wing Head - IS Program Management
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Graduation (or equivalent) from a recognized local or international university/institute (HEC recognized).
Preference will be given to candidates holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Technology Engineering, or relevant professional certifications.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Information Security, with at least 2 years of experience in IT Project Management and/or IS Project Management.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the banking sector or large-scale organizations.
Strong knowledge of Information Security functions.
Thorough knowledge of SBP guidelines related to Information Security.
Excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
Expertise in performing control assessments for business applications, processes, and IT solutions.
Project and Program Management:
Manage all Information Security-related projects and programs, particularly during their launch stage and subsequent performance monitoring.
Oversee programs like Identity and Access Management, DLP, NAC, Secure Workplace, IS Risk Assessment, etc.
Plan and manage project milestones, deadlines, priorities, and team deliverables.
Policy and Process Development:
Define and improve IS PMO office policies and processes.
Ensure that Information Security Requirements are included in Functional Specification Documents and subsequently signed off by the Wing Head.
Risk and Issue Management:
Maintain and update project/program risk and issue logs.
Define and implement project controls, governance, and resource forecasting.
Ensure cross-program dependencies are identified and managed.
Reporting and Monitoring:
Prepare regular status reports for management.
Ensure proper testing of security requirements during SIT and UAT phases.
Maintain MIS of security gaps and track corrective actions after the production rollout.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
The position is offered on a contractual basis for a period of three years, which may be renewed at the discretion of the management.
