Position: Dean – School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS)

IBA Karachi is inviting applications from dynamic, visionary, and accomplished academic leaders for the role of Dean, School of Economics and Social Sciences (SESS).

Position Overview

The Dean will play a crucial role in:

  • Leading the development and implementation of innovative academic programs

  • Promoting a research-driven and interdisciplinary environment

  • Advancing faculty development initiatives

  • Contributing to strategic planning and policy formulation

  • Ensuring effective resource management

  • Building meaningful partnerships at national and international levels

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual who is:

  • A strong advocate for academic excellence, inclusion, and global engagement

  • Capable of inspiring and leading high performance across the School

Eligibility Criteria

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a PhD degree in a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university/institution

  • Meet the Professor-level criteria as per IBA and HEC standards

  • Demonstrate:

    • Proven academic excellence

    • Strong research credentials

    • Experience in academic leadership

    • A track record of teamwork, collaboration, and inclusivity

Appointment Terms

  • The selected candidate will be appointed as a Professor

  • Serve as Dean of SESS for a three-year tenure
