Career Opportunities

Applications are invited for the following administrative/non-teaching positions on a contract basis from qualified candidates domiciled in Sindh Province. The application form is available on the University's official website.

Available Positions

1. Controller of Examinations (Equivalent to BPS-20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Master’s Degree/MBA/M.E (18 years of education) from an HEC recognized university with at least 15 years of experience in administration, particularly in examination-related matters within an educational institution.
   • Preference will be given to those with experience as Controller/Deputy Controller in university examinations.

2. Librarian (Equivalent to BPS-20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Ph.D. in a relevant field from an HEC recognized university with 10 years of experience in an HEC recognized university or postgraduate institution.
   • Alternatively, a Master's/M.Phil degree in Library Science (18 years of education) with 14 years of relevant experience.

3. Director (QEC) (Equivalent to BPS-20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Ph.D. from an HEC recognized university with 10 years of research or relevant professional experience in a national/international organization.

4. Director (ORIC) (Equivalent to BPS-20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Ph.D. from an HEC recognized university with 10 years of research or professional experience, preferably with entrepreneurial skills and leadership experience in managing non-profit organizations.

5. Director Sports (Equivalent to BPS-19)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Master’s in Physical Education (18 years of education) from an HEC recognized institution, with a minimum of 14 years of relevant experience.

6. Director/Advisor Student Affairs (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Master’s degree (18 years of education) with 14 years of relevant experience. Preference will be given to retired armed forces personnel.

7. Director Postgraduate Studies (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Ph.D. with 15 years of teaching/research experience, out of which 5 years must be teaching.
   • Must have at least 15 research publications in HEC-recognized journals.

8. Director Human Resources (Equivalent to BPS-19/20)
   Age Limit: 45 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • Master’s in Human Resource Management with international HR certification and 10-12 years of progressive experience in an academic HR role.

9. Internal Auditor (Equivalent to BPS-17)
   Age Limit: 35 years
   Qualifications/Experience:

   • ACCA/ICMA/BBA/MBA in Finance/Accounting or M.Com from an HEC recognized university with 5 years of audit experience.

Terms and Conditions

1. Candidates who applied for earlier advertisements dated 5th March and 8th July 2023 do not need to reapply. They can request to revoke their applications by writing to the Registrar.
2. All positions are on a contract basis, extendable per rules.
3. Applications must be submitted online at DUET Career Portal, and hard copies should be sent through courier to the Registrar’s office by 14th October 2024.
4. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 2,000/- must be deposited in Sindh Bank Ltd., Jamshed Quarters Branch, Karachi (Account No. 0003233348946100). A separate fee and form are required for each position.
5. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be considered.
6. Applicants from government/semi-government/autonomous bodies must apply through the proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
7. DUET reserves the right to withdraw the post(s) if justified.
8. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview, and no TA/DA will be provided.
