Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Career Opportunities

Company Overview:
Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) is a public sector utility company under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) that provides electricity to its customers. PESCO is inviting applications for suitable candidates with a domicile in districts falling under PESCO's operational jurisdiction. These positions are available on a contract basis with a lump sum pay package, extendable based on performance. However, these positions will not be regularized.

Available Positions:

  1. Commercial Assistant

    • Qualification: BA/BS/B.Com and BCS (at least 2nd Division), along with a 6-week IT Training Course (including MS Office), conducted by NITB/ITEVTA or affiliated institutions recognized by the Board of Technical Education or Higher Education Commission.

    • No. of Posts: 220

    • Quota: Open, Women, Disabled, Minority

    • Age Limit: 18 to 30 years

  2. LS-

    • Qualification: Matriculation with a 3-year Diploma (DAE) in Electrical/Electronics Technology from any Government Polytechnic Institute (1st Division).

    • No. of Posts: 127

    • Quota: Open, Minority

    • Age Limit: 18 to 30 years

Total Number of Positions: 406

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Contractual Basis: The positions are purely on a contract basis, with no regularization in the future.

  2. Age Relaxation: General age relaxation is included, with additional relaxations:

    • Scheduled Castes and Buddhists: 3 years

    • Government employees with 2+ years of continuous service: 10 years

  3. Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview.

  4. Eligibility: Only qualified and eligible candidates will be allowed to attend the test/interview.

  5. Job Locations: Selected candidates may be required to work anywhere in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under PESCO's jurisdiction.

  6. Incomplete Applications: Applications that are incomplete, late, or submitted by hand will not be processed.

  7. Document Verification: Original documents must be presented at the time of interview.

  8. Further Inquiries: Candidates can visit the NTS website or call the NTS Call Center for more information.

  9. Submission of Applications: Applications must be submitted online via NTS. Hand or postal applications sent to PESCO will not be entertained.

  10. Government Servants: Serving candidates must apply through the proper channel.

  11. Right to Cancel: PESCO reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.

  12. No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be provided for the test/interview.

  13. Eligibility Restrictions: Candidates dismissed from any organization or with a criminal record are not eligible for employment.

  14. Misrepresentation: False information or concealment of facts will result in disqualification.

  15. Legal Matters: Any legal issues arising from recruitment tests will be handled by NTS at their own cost.

How to Apply:

  1. Application Submission: Candidates should submit their applications online via the NTS website: www.nts.org.pk.

  2. Application Fee: A fee of Rs. 360/- must be deposited via participating banks, ATM, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or TCS Express Counters.

  3. No Hand/Post Applications: Applications sent by hand or post to PESCO will not be entertained.

  4. Roll No Slip: Candidates will receive their Roll No Slip and test details at least one week before the test via NTS. The same information will also be sent by SMS.

  5. Eligibility Check: Only candidates with completed degrees are eligible to apply. Final-year students or those awaiting results are not eligible.

Additional Information:

  • Quota for Employee's Children: Due to a Supreme Court decision, all employee-child quotas have been withdrawn. PESCO Employees’ children who previously applied under this quota must now apply under the open quota.
