GOVERNMENT OF PAKISTAN MINISTRY OF MARITIME AFFAIRS DIRECTORATE GENERAL PORTS & SHIPPING WING, KARACHI
SITUATION VACANT
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following vacant technical posts in the Directorate General Ports & Shipping (DG-P&S) Wing Karachi. The appointment shall be on contract basis for a period of three years, which will be extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years on annual basis subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated by the Performance Evaluation Committee:

1. Valid Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign Going Ships.
Chief Surveyor. Nautical Pay Scale-MP-II DG-P&S (01 Post)
2. At least 03 years in command of foreign ships or two years for candidates with B.Sc. (Technology in Maritime Studies).
3. At least 01 years' experience as Nautical Surveyor in any Mercantile Marine Department of a country
OR
At least 03 years experience as Surveyor in recognized Classification Society (ASC) Surveyor in a sub-contracted company of a recognized Classification Society (IACS).
OR
At least 03 years' experience as Nautical Examiner of Master and Mates in a Marine Academy College/University of Australia, Singapore or United Kingdom.

Deputy Chief Nautical Surveyor, Pay Scale-MP-I DG-P&S (01 Post)
2. At least 02 years in command of ships or 01 year for candidates writh B.Sc. (Technology in Maritime Studies).
3. Preferably a surveyor in recognized Classification Society (IACS) Surveyor in sub-contracted company of recognized Classification Society (IACS).
OR
Proforably at least 02 years experianco as Nautical Examiner of Master and Mates in a Marine Academy College/University of Australia, Singapore or United Kingdom.

1. Pay and allowances & other facilities shall be permissible under the MP Scale Policy, 2020 as approved by the Government from time to time.
2. Applications along with completo C.V. attested copios of testimonials, and three latest passport size photographs should reach the undersigned on the address mentioned below, latest by 30 April, 2024. However, the shortlisted candidates would be required to bring
original cocuments including CNIC, educational certificates and required experience certificates at the time of interview. 3. Applicants serving in Government/Semi-Government Department or Autonomous Bodies are required to apply through proper channel
along with NOC from their respective organization.
4. Applications received after due date shall not be entertained.
