Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and execute our financial strategy, driving growth and ensuring long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker and financial expert, capable of enhancing refinery profitability while spearheading key financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy to enhance refinery profitability.
- Lead financial structuring and capital allocation to ensure long-term business sustainability.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the CEO and Board to shape corporate and operational strategies.
- Identify and drive cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives across the refinery.
Financial Planning, Analysis, and Capital Management
- Oversee the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Analyze refinery operations and financial metrics to optimize decision-making.
- Implement robust financial models and assessment tools for key strategic decisions.
- Collaborate on pricing and cost-benefit analysis related to crude procurement, production, and product pricing strategies.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions to ensure financial stability.
- Drive investment decisions aligned with the refinery’s growth objectives.
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify financial risks, including market volatility, forex exposure, and commodity pricing risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Strengthen internal controls, audit mechanisms, and financial reporting standards to enhance transparency and accountability.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Background: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, or a relevant finance degree.
- Experience: Minimum 20+ years of experience, preferably in refining, oil & gas, process, or manufacturing industries.
- Expertise in:
- Financial transformations and restructuring.
- Cost optimization and strategic financial planning.
- Investment analysis and capital allocation.
- Risk management and compliance.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, business acumen, and strategic thinking.
