Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) is a leading public sector power distribution and supply company operating in the ten districts of Upper Sindh. SEPCO invites applications from highly experienced and qualified professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Position Overview
The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and will be based at SEPCO's headquarters in Sukkur.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to SEPCO, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
- Operational Management: Oversee the overall operations of the company, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure the proper implementation of strategies and policies approved by the Board.
- Performance Enhancement: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance, customer satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, governance standards, and relevant laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
- Organizational Culture: Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and the community to promote SEPCO's interests and initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Education:
- Minimum 16 years of education in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics), Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Commerce, Marketing, or equivalent from a reputable institution recognized by HEC.
- OR, be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants.

Experience:
- At least 20 years of verifiable experience in the power sector (distribution and supply), governance, business administration, finance, commerce, marketing, or any related field in well-known organizations with a commercial orientation.
- Experience at the senior management level or as a Chief Executive Officer in similar organizations, or as a member of a governing body of a professional institute or head of a department.

Skills:
- Strong leadership, team-building, change management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of corporate environments, performance management, and international best practices in change management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements:
- Compliance with the "Fit and Proper Criteria" as per Section 16 and Schedule IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2003, and in accordance with the State-Owned (Ownership & Management) Policy, 2023.
- Upper age limit of 60 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.
Pay Package
The selected candidate will receive a lump sum pay package as per SEPCO Executive Pay Scales-1 (at the initial stage), along with other perks and benefits as per the company's policy.
Tenure and Nature of Employment
The appointment will be on a contract basis for an initial period of three (3) years, extendable for up to two (2) years subject to satisfactory performance appraisal by the Board.
