Hiring for the Post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Education Requirements:

  • Must possess a Master's degree in transportation, finance, commerce, or marketing from a reputable institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or an equivalent recognized body.

Experience Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in senior management, ideally as a Chief Executive Officer or at a similar level.
  • Proven experience in corporate governance, financial management, and marketing.
  • Experience working in a well-known organization or within the public or private sector.
  • Ability to serve as a member of a governing board or body.

Age Limit:

  • To be specified as per the organization's policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Corporate Management:
    • Responsible for the management of the Corporation's financial and operational procedures.
    • Work under the delegated authority of the Board of Directors while ensuring oversight on all major decisions.
  2. Strategy Implementation:
    • Ensure the execution of strategies and policies as approved by the Board.
  3. Resource Allocation:
    • Implement effective processes to ensure resources are managed efficiently in alignment with the Corporation's goals and strategies as directed by the Board.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills in managing complex organizations, particularly with public and private stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic planning, management, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Expertise in corporate governance, financial oversight, and operations management.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • A track record of successful goal achievement and the ability to lead teams to desired results.

Other Requirements:

  1. The candidate must adhere to the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Act, 2023, and all relevant corporate laws, including the Companies Act, 2017.
  2. The candidate must not be disqualified under the fit and proper criteria outlined in Schedule IV of the SOEs Act and other relevant laws.
  3. The initial appointment will be for a period of three years on a performance-based contract, extendable for another two years based on satisfactory performance.
  4. Candidates currently employed in federal or provincial government service must apply through the proper channel.
