CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Ignite is incorporated with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984 (repealed by Companies Act, 2017), by the Ministry of IT & Telecom, Government of Pakistan. Ignite funds startups and innovative projects that utilize 4th industrial wave tech to solve local problems and target global opportunities in health, education, energy, agriculture, telecom, finance and other verticals. Our network of incubators across Pakistan nurtures startups and engages them with investors and corporations, among which some startups have graduated with notable success. Our digital skills training program, DigiSkills.pk, provides an online training platform. Applications are sought from dynamic individuals with credentials and vision to head this Company.
Qualification
The candidate must possess a degree, equivalent to sixteen years of education or higher, from a national or international university/institute accredited by HEC in Engineering, ICT, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience
The candidate should have demonstrated experience of at least ten (10) years, with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role, in ICT sector or funding organization with managing research & innovation, fund management or nurturing startup ecosys- tem experience.
Must qualify Fit and Proper criteria for appointment as Chief Executive of a Public Sector Company as defined in the State-Owned Enterprise Act 2023, and applicable rules, guidelines, and procedures including competence capability, personal and finan-
cial integrity.
Required Skill-Set
The candidate must have:
Excellent interpersonal skills for working with senior academicians and industry leaders.
Excellent communication skills to interact with senior government officials, political leaders, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in providing vision, leading and managing multiple teams, and delivering concrete and measurable results in a demanding corporate environment.
■Demonstrated experience in evaluating and applying emerging technologies in solving problems of the society.
Experience of industry or academia in R&D, technology-based entrepreneurship, innovation, incubation, investment/funding, commercialization or building the overall innovation ecosystem.
Term of Contract
The position reports to the Board of Directors and is for a period of 3 years.
Age Limit
The candidate's age at the time of the advertisement should not exceed 50 years.
