Job Opportunity: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position at Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO)
Introduction: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), a public sector organization, invites applications for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This critical role requires strong leadership to drive corporate governance and achieve organizational objectives, aligned with national power strategies.
Core Responsibilities:
- The CEO will report directly to the Ministry of Power Division and the Board of Directors.
- Lead the company in accordance with corporate objectives and government regulations.
- Ensure alignment of company policies with the strategic goals of the government.
- Oversee financial planning, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead key operational aspects, including infrastructure, human resources, and financial management.
- Maintain accountability and regular reporting to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency in decision-making.
- Foster a positive organizational culture, ensuring high performance from all sectors of the company.
Key Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of Pakistan’s energy sector and international best practices.
- Strong grasp of business management, finance, and strategic planning.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a large organization with diverse functions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with regulators, employees, customers, and stakeholders.
- Strong corporate leadership skills, fostering organizational adaptability in response to dynamic industry challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum qualification: Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with additional qualifications (MBA, law, finance) will have an advantage.
- Extensive experience in senior executive roles, preferably in large organizations or utilities.
- Understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Compliance with "Fit & Proper" criteria as per State Owned Enterprises (SOE) guidelines (2003).
Remuneration, Age, and Contract Terms:
- Competitive remuneration package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- Contract duration, key performance indicators, and other conditions will be set as per the management and performance agreement with the Ministry of Power Division.
