CAREER OPPORTUNITY AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) is a leading power distribution company in Pakistan, serving more than 3.88 million customers with an annual revenue base exceeding Rs. 522 billion. The operational jurisdiction of the company covers six districts: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal.

We are actively seeking a high-caliber team leader for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who has the demonstrated capability and potential to lead and guide the company towards persistent growth and value creation for its customers. We seek a proactive, result-oriented professional with established credibility and a strong performance record. The candidate must possess strong leadership, team building, change management, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with a high drive for performance targets as outlined below:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics), Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Sciences, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent from a reputed institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in the above disciplines.

Experience:

  • At least 20 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior Management C-Level position in a large-scale organization comparable in size and financial scale.

Age Limit:

  • Up to 62 years at the last date of submission of the application.

Criteria Fit & Proper:

  • Must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria and other conditions as prescribed in the State-Owned Enterprises (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines 2024, the Companies Act-2017, and the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act-2023.

Remuneration Package:

  • Market-based remuneration package commensurate with the qualification and experience of the selected candidate, along with company-maintained accommodation and vehicle, and medical facility as per company policy. The initial contract term is for three (3) years, with annual evaluations conducted by the Board of Directors (BOD) of IESCO.

  1. Pakistani citizens only.

  2. The selected candidate must resign, liquidate, seek early retirement, or sever their connection/lien with the parent department immediately before joining IESCO.

  4. Submit a signed printed copy of the online application form through courier service/registered mail along with the following documents:

    • Copy of detailed CV
    • Copy of CNIC
    • Declaration on non-judicial stamp paper of requisite value (Rs 100 or above), confirming that the candidate is not ineligible to act as CEO according to the provisions of the company’s act, rules, and supporting guidelines.
    • Copies of Degree Testimonials duly verified by HEC or the professional body/association (whichever is relevant).
    • Applicant with foreign academic qualifications must furnish HEC Equivalence Certificate.
    • Attested copy of registration with the professional governing body or PEC.
    • All pages of the application should be numbered and signed by the applicant.

  8. If an applicant possesses experience in the Public Sector or Public Sector Company, his experience in a position of BS-20 or equivalent to BS-20 (substantive or acting/charge basis) will qualify as Senior Management Experience.

  9. Candidates must provide details of their reporting hierarchy, channel of command, substantive pay scale of the post, and date of upgradation (if any).
